Job Title: C-Store Sales Associate/Deli Worker
Reports to: C-Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Run cash register and provide customers with quality customer service. Responsible for overseeing the deli operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for appearance and cleanliness of store before, during and after shift.
- Check in new merchandise.
- Price and display merchandise as required by the store manager.
- Assist in the ordering of deli product and preparing requisitions to purchase deli products.
- Keep table, cutting board and counters clean and free of debris.
- Clean dishes and all food related items and maintain a healthy and safe kitchen.
- Run cash register throughout shift.
- Cook cookies and pizza. Slice pizza and put into viewer.
- Make sandwiches to customers specifications.
- Handle customer complaints and comments and pass complaints and comments onto management.
- May be required to open store, balance drawers, make bank deposits, complete fuel reports and other necessary reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Food Safety Test. The test will be paid for by the cooperation, the first time. If failed the employee will pay for test.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees in small groups or in a one on one situation.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
