What is the minimum order for propane and refined fuels?

How much is a tank rental?
  • 250 gallons – $84 a year plus tax
  • 500 gallons- $96 a year plus tax
  • 1000 gallons – $144 a year plus tax
  • These charges are billed once a year every April.
What are my responsibilities as a will-call customer?

Will- call customers are responsible to contact the Monte Vista Coop Energy Division to schedule a delivery for propane levels of 35% or higher. If the levels of your propane tank are lower than 35%, there could be additional fees to fill your tank if propane is needed before the 7-10 business-day time frame. Please call 719-852-5181 and ask for the Energy Division.

How can I set up a scheduled route for propane delivery?

To set up a scheduled route for propane delivery, please call the Monte Vista Coop Energy Division at 719-852-5181.  You must have a chargeable account set up with the Monte Vista Coop through the credit department to have a debit/credit card on file to charge for propane.  It is the customer responsibility to keep the card on file current.  If the card on file is declined for any reason, the account will be removed from the scheduled route and will be placed under a will-call route.  It is the customer responsibility to contact the MVC to update account.

What are the delivery fees that the Monte Vista Coop Energy Division charges?

All delivery fees are subject to change daily and are based on, but not limited to, tank location, propane leaks, emergency services, and requests of the customer. Prices will be quoted upon customer request by contacting the Monte Vista Coop Energy Division at 719-852-5181. The price quote is not final until order is placed.

What if my propane tank percentage is low and I need a delivery right now?
  • The Monte Vista Coop Energy Division will deliver same day to the requested location with applicable fees applied. After hours deliveries will be completed after the drivers scheduled route, will-call orders and after 5:00 pm.
  • Weekend and holiday delivery rates will be higher than regular day delivery rates.
How much is propane?
  • Rates can change daily and at any time. 150 gallons to a fill is more affordable than filling your tank with anything less than 150 gallons.  150 gallons is the recommended minimum amount for any fill.
  • Paying for propane with cash or check does not include additional charges. Paying with cash or check may be completed by giving your payment to your driver or by dropping it off to the Monte Vista Coop main office located in Monte Vista and the Alamosa Feed Warehouse located in Alamosa.
What are my payment options?
  • Set up a chargeable account by contacting the Monte Vista Coop Credit Department.
  • By calling the MVC main office to provide information from a valid credit/ debit card.
  • Paying for propane with cash or check does not include additional charges.
  • Paying with cash or check may be completed by giving your payment to your driver or by dropping it off to the Monte Vista Coop in Monte Vista and Alamosa.
How do I to read my tank percentages?

Size of tank X percentage = gallons of propane in your tank

When do I need to notify the Monte Vista Coop Energy Division to fill my tank if I am not on a scheduled route?
  • When your tank percentage is 35% or higher.
  • DANGER ZONE: 35% or lower – additional delivery charges and delays may occur.
What should I do if I suspect a leak inside of a structure?
  • Get out!
  • Do not touch anything inside of structure and leave doors open!
  • Once you have reached a safe distance from the structure where the leak is suspected, call 911.
  • Emergency services will determine quality air control and will contact the MVC.

  • Unanswered phone calls can create extensive delays, miscommunication between driver and customer, and payment discrepancies that are preventable.

Snow removal really helps!

  • Snow and road hazards make it very difficult for deliveries to happen. You could be skipped for up to two weeks if roads are not cleared.

All orders are dispatched through the MVC main office. Drivers do not take orders.

The driver will not wait for payment on COD.
