Job Title: Ops Location Specialist
Department: Fertilizer
Reports to: Agronomy Director
Status: Seasonal; March through July, Non-Exempt
Range: $17.00 – $23.00/hour
Timeframe: 2-4 weeks
Summary:
The Ops Location Specialist reports to the Agronomy Director and is responsible for performing day-to-day operations and maintenance of the La Jara location. This role will be responsible for loading and blending of fertilizer and assisting customers with any needs they have on product. The role will focus on developing strong customer relationships and maintaining strong relationships with team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of fertilizer analysis and ability to create blends to meet customer needs
- Inventory management and communication
- Loader operation and loading responsibility in the dry plant
- Maintenance and care of facility and equipment within the plant
- Management of work orders to efficiently complete jobs for customers
- Traveling within the local territory to visit farms and customers
- Ability to operate all equipment and vehicles according to MVC policy and procedure along with all local, state, and federal laws
- Ensure personnel and physical assets meet company safety, environmental, health regulatory, maintenance, quality and customer standards throughout the department

Education and/or Experience:
- Background in Agronomy, Ag Business, Crop Science, or related field preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
